HL101 assignment due tomorow, I really shouldn't be here.

From Walt Whitman's Song of Myself.

"I bequeath myself to the dirt to grow from the grass I love,

If you want me again look for me under your bootsoles.

You will hardly know who I am or what I mean,

But I shall be good health to you nevertheless,

And filter and fibre your blood.

Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged,

Missing me one place search another,

I stop some where waiting for you"

Tomorrow's lecture is cancelled, which means that after 9.30-10.30am tutorial, my next lesson is at 1.30pm. Maybe I can get WFG for Laura in that break.

Everyone's changing their blog URL, I can't bear to update my links. The old URLs sound so familiar.

Happy 19th birthday, Raghav =]

Hope it went well!

Eh eh I got a purevolume account! did you see my email?

And erm.. did you happen to receive something in the mail? As in, snail mail. Haha.

the subtlety of that question. really. is amazing. hahaha.

I JUST GOT IT.

THANK YOU SHREY.

AND SCREW YOU BALAJI. hahahahaha

ada paavi bala you're the one who said "just ask him"! and i'd like to know how you'd have asked =D

haha wow it arrived one whole week late. you're welcome!

i had a hard time choosing the card cos everything was girly and mushy and pink =\ and at the post office, bala and i were wondering what the heck franked mail is. (btw bala, i found out what it means!) and then we had trouble getting the stamp and actually posting it. it involved high degrees of mathematical skill and estimation of weight and manipulation of a ruler and application of glue. HAHA.

when i was worried cos i realised we hadn't put your name on it, bala assured me jesse ripper wouldnt get any cards. hahaha.

eh raghav, seriously, damn old lah. no joke. and ooh! i knew jesse ripper doesn't do birthday cards. more of um...METAL DEATH ROCK ON B****A** HELL YEAH kinda thing. no need to thank me raghav. it's all cool. don't get sappy. no crying or anything. and i knew it would take 8 days to go to USA. told ya so.

Balaji said...

btw, i'd have started off with "isn't the weather absolutely wonderful today?"

Then asked "so someone told me your birthday was last week. or something. whatever"

then finally, "DID YOU GET THE CARD WE SENT YOU? IT WAS MEANT TO REACH YOU ON THE DAY ITSELF, BUT SINGPOST FRANKS OUR MAIL, SO IT GOT LATE AND THEN WE ALL PANIC! AT THE DISCO, THEN BAM!"

"so did you get any mail or something?"

Shreya said...

jesse ripper seems cool ^.^ his name says it all. (but he wouldnt have known it's a bday card whatttt. so it's not about his "not doing bday cards". ok whatever nvm.)

eh but it took more than 8 days. counting the day we sent it, it took 2 weeks.

and yes raghav, no sappy stuff =D unless you want us to include tissue in the envelope next time. hahaha kidding kidding.

HAHAHAHA i swear you two DESERVE to be cardinals or pope or dawg or homie or whatever, i'm convulsing in laughter =D =D =D

You should totally ask him that way next time, bala. Much more subtle than what i did. And you forgot to mention the part where they open every envelope to check if the contents are frank or not, and that's why it takes so long =D

Btw, i'm glad P!ATD put the exclamation mark back in their name, i think they took it out sometime.

And this is why comment boxes rock more than tagboards. A lot more space.

Daym. 2 weeks to send mail from here to the USA. That's long. Bet you it goes through India, then to China and then to Japan, then to America. On a sampan. That's why.

Raghav said...

you forgot africa, nairobi and canada. and at africa it changes to a kayak. because sampans are not allowed in american waters. seriously. don't you know anything bala??? haha. :D

Bullshit aside, thanks hahaha.

Shreya said...

Bet you the sampan sinks in India cos everyone wants to get in. that's why they change it to a kayak before getting to Africa.

How did a simple "Happy birthday Raghav" turn into a 11-comment thing!

Balaji said...

alamak relac sia bodoh. i onli relac one corner you pick on my sampan. siol.

well i believe the actual reason lies in the fact that raghav is almost absolutely uncontactable online, no doubt cos he's busy and stuff, and that we need to keep contact to ensure he's alive and kicking. though yes, on deeper analysis maybe we're just very very bored with life and this provides entertainment. they may not be mutually exclusive though, indeed, these factors may work hand in hand in the causation of this phenomenon.

and thus the 12th comment is born.

Balaji said...

btw raghav, bro, i dead sure from japan to america they won't pass through africa. canada maybe. not africa. but hey, its our rules. whack ah.

Shreya said...

if they really decided to go on sampans, i wouldn't put it past them to go along africa.

btw, the first thing that came to mind when you first started the sampan thing was this malay song i learnt in primary school.. it went "dayung sampan, dayung dayung sampan" and i can't remember what came after that.

and i totally agree. raghav, being the uncontactable guy that he is, has to be checked on using things like these. and yep, it goes hand in hand with the boredom thing.

it's a compliment, raghav. you help remove boredom. see, 14 comments already!

MUST GO THROUGH AFRICA. MUST REACH CAPE OF GOOD HOPE. :D THEN ONLY GOT HOPE. :)

That actually makes sense. =]
